In compliance with Central Bank of Brazil regulations (Official Circular No. 3.814/2016), we hereby inform about the quarterly reporting requirement for the submission of the economic-financial statement by the companies that receive foreign direct investment and hold assets and net equity equal to or greater than BRL 250,000,000.00 (two hundred and fifty million reais).

Companies that receive foreign direct investment and have assets or net equity lower than BRL 250,000,000.00 must update annually the records at the Central Bank of Brazil based on the accounting and corporate information dated December 31st, 2017, which deadline for submission will expire on March 31st, 2018.

Please, find as follows the base dates for the remaining statements and corresponding deadlines:

• Base date on December 31st, 2017 must be submitted until March 31st, 2018

Base date on March 31st, 2018 must be submitted until June 30th, 2018;

• Base date on June 30th, 2018 must be submitted until September 30th, 2018; and

• Base date on September 30th, 2018 must be submitted until December 31st, 2018.

It’s emphasized that any failure to perform the statement submission and/or any registry, or untimeliness and incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate report of the foreign capital registration subjects the Brazilian company to administrative fine by the Central Bank of Brazil.

News: The Central Bank of Brazil disclosed on November 14th, 2017 the Official Circular No. 3.857, which sets forth Law No. 13.506 and provides for administrative sanctioning process establishing new criteria and amounts for the application of fines in case of provision of incorrect, incomplete or out of deadline information.
